About the Project
Why Commute Compute® exists
Every commuter runs through the same set of calculations before leaving the house. Is the service on time? Do I need to leave earlier? Is there time for coffee? Will I need an umbrella? Is my usual route the right call today? That work is currently spread across four or five apps that don't talk to each other, so the commuter ends up doing the synthesis in their head, under time pressure, every single morning. Commute Compute® runs all of it in the background and puts the answer on the wall.
The five engines were not assembled from off-the-shelf components. Each was designed with a specific, defensible function and an expectation of reliable output under real-world conditions. The data ingestion, engine logic, rendering pipeline, and display output are all purpose-built for this system.
About the Founder
Angus Bergman
Angus Bergman is an Australian lawyer admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria, with a double degree in law and business. His background spans litigation, commercial law, legal technology, and IP commercialisation across top-tier global law firms and specialist boutique firms. This experience has shaped how this system was conceived and built.
Building Commute Compute® required picking up enough working knowledge of software architecture, data pipelines, and workflow automation to carry the project from idea to fully operational system. The legal background helps: precise scoping, failure analysis, and an honest assessment of what is actually novel are habits that translate well to software.
